Grace O’Rourke is a playwright often, and a director/screenwriter/actor occasionally. They graduated from Mount Holyoke College with BA in English & Theater/Film, and studied at the National Theater Institute as part of the Advanced Playwrights Spring '22 cohort. Their plays have been performed with Melancholics Anonymous, Cypress Productions, the Chain Theatre, the Lighthouse Ladies Collective, and the Tank. They are the recipient of the 2023 Denis Johnston Playwriting Award, a Semifinalist for the 2024 SheNYC Festival, and a current member of Fresh Binder Collective's 2024 trans writers cohort.

Their work tends to be containers for: tragicomedy, small oddities, large magics, bickering, religious themes, poetic violence, precious and specific objects, and the unexplained.
